Vintage Japanese Shakudo 24K Gold Floral Panel Bracelet — Late 19th Century

Shakudo is one of Japan's most revered metalworking traditions — a centuries-old alloy of copper and gold, treated with a patination process that produces its distinctive deep black surface. Against this darkness, 24k gold motifs are inlaid with extraordinary precision: floral forms and Japanese scenes on each panel link, the contrast between black and gold so sharp it reads almost like lacquerwork.
