Vintage Chunky Gold Braided Chain Necklace with Antique Watch Pendant — 1950s

A 1980s chunky gold-plated braided chain — substantial, tactile and straight from the warehouse that supplied the great British department stores of the era — reimagined with a 1950s antique open-faced watch pendant. The watch no longer runs, but that is entirely beside the point. Its aged dial, original hands and worn case tell a story that a functioning timepiece never could. Time suspended, worn close to the body.

Dead-stock vintage. An unworn item that has been stored for an extended period of time. Found in an untouched since the '80s warehouse that supplied the likes of Liberty, Harrods, and Selfridges.
