A D'Orlan pendant necklace from the 1970s–80s, unused. The pendant is cast in dark oxidised silver-tone metal in a richly ornamented Baroque form — scrollwork, shell motif at the base, leaf and wing details framing a deep magenta foiled oval cabochon at the centre. Suspended on a fine gold-tone chain. D'Orlan was founded in Toronto in 1957 by Maurice Bradden, trained under Marcel Boucher, and went on to partner with Nina Ricci in 1984. Their pieces — known for exceptional craftsmanship, Swarovski crystals, and high-quality imitation stones — are increasingly collectible.
