Wedgwood jasperware is one of the most iconic materials in British design history — the distinctive blue and white ceramic developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 18th century and refined ever since. This 1956 pendant, impressed with the Wedgwood hallmark on the reverse, carries that tradition with quiet authority. It hangs from an unused 1980s gold-plated brass chain — straight from the warehouse that supplied the great British department stores of the era. Two pillars of British heritage, brought together in a single piece.
Dead-stock vintage. An unworn item that has been stored for an extended period of time. Found in an untouched since the '80s warehouse that supplied the likes of Liberty, Harrods, and Selfridges.
