Vintage Gold Plated Chain Necklace with Jean Paul Gaultier Swarovski Kaputt Volcano Pendant — 1980s

In 2016, Jean Paul Gaultier designed an exclusive crystal cut for Atelier Swarovski called Kaputt — German for "broken" — a deliberate celebration of perfect imperfection. In volcano, the stone is at its most dramatic: deep magenta, burnt amber and iridescent copper shifting with every movement, the elongated shard form catching light from every angle. It hangs from a 1980s triple gold-plated wheat chain — textured, warm and straight from the warehouse that supplied the great British department stores of the era. Two very different eras, one extraordinary result.

Signed Jean Paul Gaultier on the crystal. Both pieces unused. One piece only.

Dead-stock vintage. An unworn item that has been stored for an extended period of time. Found in an untouched since the '80s warehouse that supplied the likes of Liberty, Harrods, and Selfridges.
